Age of Empires The Age of Kings

Hello everyone. I have this love for the game, Age of kings. It was the first game I bought with my own money. So I always try to keep it in my computer. But I want to know if there's is a way to make the game run even if I format my c harddrive (game is in d drive) Is there a registry tweak or something that would save me from installing the game for the 100th time?

If the game is in 'D' Drive, and you're formatting your 'C' drive which I assume to be a normal drive of no-windows related files, then you can keep the game. You won't need to install the game again. On the other hand, if you're formatting your whole system, then I'd suggest you make back up of your save files. But apart from re-installing the game, I don't think there's any other tweak that can be made to the registry.

Yes Im formatting windows to install new one. game refuses to start and claims its not installed.
