I have a question about the IWill KK266 Motherboard. In many sites, it says that this motherboard's FSB speed is 166 MHz. However, other sites say that the FSB speed is 266. On one site, it says in the article it can handle 266 MHz FSB speeds, but later in the article about the BIOS, it says you can set it from 100-166 MHz in 1 MHz intervals. Am I misunderstanding something? Any help would be great

the front side bus on athlon motherboards is a little more complicated than previous chips because the fsb is running at a double data rate. so, if you set the fsb to 133, the motherboard will runn at 266. its sort of similar to the concept of ddr sdram. so, the motherboard you are refering to can in fact run between 100 and 166 mhz at 1 mhz intervals, but this will be double-pumped to twice that setting......

ignore everything i say

So in other words, if my processor says it can handle 266 MHz FSB (Athlon 1.33 Ghz Tbird), then I want to set my motherboard FSB to 133?
