Can any one tell me if I can change the change from the default 3.56v jumper to 3.3v on the motherboard without changing the jen to jumper setting?

Thank You,

Yes, it doesn't affect the ability to run jumperfree or jumper mode.

Thank you, I am having alot of voltage instability and thought this might be a way to stabilize it...also could you tell me if I can overclock my duron 800mhz using bios vcore, multiplier and fsb after changing the jumper to 3.3v...will I have enough power?

Thanx again,

If you're going to overclock, you should increase Vcore (one little at a time until you find it's stable). I had my TB 700 overclock to 866 (with my A7V133, which is very similar with A7V except it can run FSB 133MHz) is unstable at 1.8V, but at 1.85V it runs flawlessly. BTW, I'd suggest you leave VIO at default 3.56V, it would help with overclocking.

First, I am set in bios for vcore of 1.6v, and in bios it is currently reading vcore 1.63...in my asus probe software the vcore reads 1.69...is this high enough to overclock my duron 800mhz...and should I clock by increasing the fsb in increments? Also my 3.3v monitoring line in asus probe turns red for about less than a quarter of an inch when my voltage goes to 3.632v (when I clock my duron 800mhz to 816mhz 8x102fsb with bios vcore at 1.6v-1-63v)...and asus pops up to warn me...do you know what this means? Am I getting to much juice. My mobo temp is about 41c when this happens (with cpu temp at about 47c-48c)...should I chance raising vcore? If you need a more indept veiw of my readings and my problem I've posted all in (i/o voltage / brainstorming needed) in the overclocking motherboard forum (pg 2).
Thank You For Your Help

I wouldn't trust Asus probe's reading, it's kind of incorrectly readings (it always poped up warnings about voltage fluctuation in my A7V133). I'd prefer Motherboard Monitor to check up on my temp and voltage.

You know khha, I was thinking of disabling asus probe too.
I mean it's like I watched it come up and report a voltage of 3.62 when I overclocked and turn the line red again and again, but I really didn't crash...I just kept my eye on the temps...altough I did download motherboard monitor (as also recommended by another poster) and it seems to report similar readings; as in asus probe. i just hope it doesn't pop up for every voltage flux. Maybe I can disable that in mobo monitor. Just want to ask one more question. Can you advise me on what to raise the vcore setting to for overclocking the duron 800mhz? Other posters might have informed me of this or I read it somewhere...but I can't say for sure that I exactly remember it.

Thnx

dont believe asus probe. its a pile of dung.
it overreads my voltage by 0.05, my core temp by almost 10 C and the mobo readings keep dropping out randomly.
motherboard monitor is much better

as for core voltages, i can set my bios to 1.65 (shows up as 1.70 in bios & MBM) and that runs my 1200 C flawlessly.
if i try to overclock up to 1275 i need to set the voltage to 1.75 (1.80 displayed) or up to 1350 requires me to set the voltage to 1.80 (1.85 displayed)
i will try further once i get that damn thermal pad off my cooler and get some decent thermal grease down. runin a tad warm at 1350 ;)
p.s. my FSB is running at 150.

Terrific LGHpoobaa! I have a new fan a fop38 that I have to install with some artic silver. Artic silver gives tips for removing thermal paste... www.articsilver.com
