hey there
I'm looking for a list of locations to find exquisite rings and amulets to
make groovy enchanted item like um frost area spell. I had a couple but try
as I might I couldn't get any merchants to mass produce them. in fact it
appears arbitrary to me (I'm sure there is some pattern tho) what goods some
merchants re stock when you buy them. I had some nasty experiences when
sometimes I sell them something nice so they will reproduce even more but it
vanishes as instead of selling the item they decide they like it so much
they start wearing it! can never figure out the best sell buy price either
it seems to change even though my personality and merchant and likeability
doesn't must be some small random factor in the merchandising side of things
even trainers ask different amount if you move around them sometimes!
BTW I've done a lot of google searches but I can't find one re: exquisite
amulet/ring locations

apart from the slow slow then program crashes, I really hate the quest
completed bug where quests don't vanish sometimes even tho you knocked them
back. also the fog of movement comes back on my maps too occasionally, I
really hate that too!

tricky request because the most common place to find them is on a
levelled list, which means it's pretty much random. but if you load up
the construction set and find the rings in there, you can bring up the
info on them and on which cells or inventories they're located in

I don't think any merchants have infinite quantities of exquisite items.
You are probably better off finding them in containers. Although, even
then, I am not sure how many of those are in set positions. Like most items
in the game, rings and amulets are usually assigned partly randomly and
partly on your character's level. If you are looking in smuggler's caves,
you may find them in crates or chests, but it will take a little luck and a
higher level character. Or, try looking in rich people's houses, such as
manors in Ald'ruhn or Balmora. I seem to remember finding some exquisite
items in their bureaus and closets.

Also, be careful with creating area-effect destruction spells. I have
accidentally killed numerous friendly characters who were standing a little
too close to the baddies. :)

Be sure to put one point into your "Luck"-stat as often as possible. The
higher your luck, the better the loot.

There's no way to get a multiplier on luck when you level-up, is
there?

Nope.

Which is a good reason for always adding a point to Luck. If you neglect
some of the other 7 atrributes for a while, you can use x5 multipliers to
quickly remedy that at later levels. If you ignore Luck, there is no way to
quickly overcome that later.
