Can I install my old game (Legacy of Time) on my Windows 7?

The game will not install on it's own. When I try to trigger the installation, a box pops up saying "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running" and I need to check to see if i need "an x86(32-bit) or x64(64-bit) version of the program" and then contact the software publisher. Since I dont believe there would be other versions of this old game, what do I do?

Try running it in comparability mode or since that game is so old you may want to install virtual machine (with a valid 95/98/XP License) to run the game.
