why is it that a mfg states the bus speed for it's board is 266 but documentation says 133. I am new to this and have seen it several times. The documented value is always half the stated value. Can someone explain this to me?

It's a marketing ploy. The fact is, the fsb is actually 133mhz. But it processes information twice for each clock cycle, so it's effective speed is 266.
