Does anyone know the fastest Celeron & PII/PIII CPU this board (P3B-F) can handle? The website says 450+ , but I have seen other sites with other values. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

the original version supported only that much since there was no cpu faster than that. basically the multiplier is implemented inside the cpu so it really doesnt matter. this support is, i guess only to detect the correct speed and display it at bootup. you can have the BIOS latest update for that. apart from that, the cpu would work correctly. you might need a slotket convertor for the P3B-F, and coppermines with 133 MHz FSb wont work, they will run at FSB of 100 since the 440BX chipset doesnt officially support it. so you will run a 800/133 at 600/100.

According to the manual it supports PIII-700mhz. But am i too stupid, doesn't it support all 100Mhz PIII based processors??
In that case it can support a "Intel Pentium III 1000, 100Mhz, 256kb, Slot1" without a slotconverter, right??

actually there is no intel pentium 1000/100 MHz 256kb slot 1 processor. should you need one, you can have a P-III 1.33 GHz (if at all its available and intel doesnt recall) on a slotket convertor. it will run at 1000 MHz and the system will display some 750 or 800 MHz.
