Hi people. I have a 12 MegaBytes 1280x480 Indeo AVI colour movie and I must display it using a powerful PC. Which CPU, which motherboard, and which memory would you suggest me to buy ? Please consider that:
- I will use an UltraWide SCSI2 hard disk
- the graphics card will be a Matrox dual head
- the movie must be displayed without interruptions.
Thanks for your help. Bye from Alvise.

Pentium 4 are good for digital video and still image editing, streaming audio and video, and voice recognition...

For everything else, Athlons are much better (in both performance and value).

Thanks for your anwser. I have no budget limits.
I supposed that Pentium IV was the best choice because of
its 400 MHz FSB. I think I will set up this kind of processor upon an Asus motherboard. I will put a UWIDE SCSI2 disk too. Regards.
