Had it for 1 year.
Ok first of all i wan't to use XP, but it seems my comp don't want to.
If i install Xp games like: War3 and Morrowind crashes, and often the screen turns blue and theres something there about physical dump. (it only shows for 1sec then the comp restarts itself)
Second: In cs i use OpenGL @ 800x600 running @144hz. If i'm facing the wall i get 99fps, but when somethings happening i drops to 72 (lol?). And on maps like i.e. Aztec i have around 50-60 fps.
Third:I have a friend that have almost the extact same system specs, only changes is that he's got: Amd T-bird 1400mhz, Western Digital 80GB hdd, and Win ME as os.
He got 99fps CONSTANT on EVERY MAP no mather what happens...
Why O why? Whats wrong with my comp?
why can't i use xp?
I've only tried with a burned cd, do i need an original? Note: 2 of my friends have used that burned cd and it works fine with them...
Fps issue.. why don't I get 99 fps constant? Is it cuz of OS? I've heard that win98 se is a "fps-friendly os" is that true?
I'm considering buying the original Win Xp Pro, will it work?
What do you get at higher resolutions? I get 99fps pretty much constant ('cept for smoke or on huge maps) with a GF2 at 1600x1200 in CS. You got AA or aniso on?
Some day I'll be rich and famous for inventing a device that allows you to stab people in the face over the internet.
what kind of mobo you got? go in safe mode and uninstall via 4in1 drivers if you have a via chipset. hmmm... i think i remember there was a problem with via kt133/kt133a agp driver, but it has been so long i'm not sure. well anyway, it sounds like a chipset problem to me. look at what chipset you have and type that with the video card name and the word "problem" in a search engine, you'll find a bunch of good [-peep-].
