I have the latest Intel UltraATA storage driver v6.10 as well as the latest chipset drivers V2.90.009 on my Asus CUSL2-C mobo. I upgraded my HDD from a Seagate ST83210A 8.3GB HDD to a Seagate Barracuda ATA III 30GB HDD (ST330620A). Now the PC won't boot up with the storage driver installed. It goes as for as the first Windows splash screen then it just hangs. If I hit escape the splash screen dissapears and I see a flashing cursor at the top of the screen with the normal booting info below, (mode con prepare page etc.). If I reset and enter safe mode, uninstall the storage drive, the PC boots normally.
I cannot find any info about this problem on either the Intel or Seagate sites.
My PC:
P3 1Ghz
Asus CUSL2-C mobo
256MB Crucial CAS2 RAM
Seagate ST330620A 30GB HDD
Hercules Fortissimo 2 Sound Card
Aopen 12 X DVD, 40 X CD

Try calling their tech support.
I'm waiting for the barracuda IV suppose to be the fastest 7200 ATA drive.

I uninstalled the Seagate DDO, Dynamic Disc Overlay, which I did not need, and now it works.
