I need to build a new web server running NT4 in a 1U case.

I'm looking for recomendations on a Socket 7 or Socket A ATX motherboard that has onboard video, onboard 10/100 ethernet, and hopefully IDE RAID support.

The closest I can find is the PC Chips M810LMR which doesn't have RAID support, but has everything else onboard.

TIA!

goto http://www.supermicro.com/products you might find a board suitable for your needs.

i dont think there will be any IDE RAID options available, not even SCSI RAID on a server board. A server board might have onboard SCSI, but it can be used with zero chanel RAID controllers to implement RAID, saving cost.

i guess you actually dont need a specialised server board, any high end decent desktop board will be enough, see http://www.msicomputer.com or http://www.abit.com.tw for socket-370 (not socket 7, old pentiums used that socket) or socket-A boards that have onboard IDE RAID, but might not have onboard network controller or onboard display (of course, displays with shared memory will not suit your webserver purpose, anyway you need to have a dedicated display controller for which you can even buy a cheap PCI VGA card with 1 MB memory) and desktop boards generally dont have dedicated display controllers, but that should work well.

and one important thing about onbaord IDE RAID is that you can only have RAID 0 or 1, that is stripping or mirroring and no other advanced RAID configurations like RAID 5 or better.
