So I just got fallout 3 goty off steam and as soon as I left the vault it started freezing. At first I was like ok it's alright , but then it got worse like every 10 mins. It freezes up and I can still hear the sound , but I have to open task manager to get it to close. So I know i'm gonna have to post my specs so here they are:

make sure the game is fully up to date... check the steam games library to make sure its not updating...

you have a 2500k, gtx 560x2 and only 2 gig of ram? if its 2x1gig sticks then get another 2x1 if you can fit them or if its only 1x2gig stick then you need another to enable dual channel mode not having it running will over halve your needed bandwidth.
other wise have you checked your temps? 70-75 for the gpu is normal at load and 65 or below is ok for a 2500k at load. if its substantially more then check your cooling. especially the water cooler.
