I have a Abit SE6(815E) board with 2 128 meg Crucial PC133 Cas2 7.5ns(I think, doubt they are 7ns) If I try and run the 2-2-2-5/7 the machine will get past the memory test count, but then on the next screen half of the information shows up and the machine locks. If I drop down to 2-2-2-7/9 the machine works fine. I pick up 3.8 fps over the 3-3-3-7/9 that I was running before in Quake3 1024x768 high quality on the demo that comes with v1.29f.

Rest of the system specs are:
Visiontek GF3 64meg
P3 733
SB Live
3com Nic

Its running stock clocks and all so overclocking is not the problem. The one thing that I am thinking is that I need to have 7ns memory to run the most aggressive timings at 133fsb. Anybody know this for sure. I have been trying to get a hold on Abit and Crucial on this matter, but havent got anywhere except a replacement mobo that didnt fix the problem. I can return my memory for testing, but if its fine I get charged for it. So I'm hoping to get this resolved or just run the 2-2-2-7/9 timings.

Screw overclocking my comps got NOS!!!!

Your 7.5 ns memory cant handle running that fast.
7.5ns=133
7ns=143
I have the same problem. At 158fsb my memory runs at 2/2/2/7/9.Above 158fsb it runs at 3/3/3/7/9. At 133fsb it runs at 2/2/2/5/7. This is a single ,one sided stick of 256mb KingstonValue ram from office max. It has the Infinion7.5ns chips on it.

I aint signing nothing!!!

So your saying the 7.5 ns cant talk 2-2-2-5/7 at 133 fsb, but it should be fine with 2-2-2-7/9? Oh, one more thing. The DIMM's are double sided 128's. I got them right after PC133 mem came out, paid out the A$$ for them too. I dont know if the double sided would have anything to do with it either.
