I was wondering. I just re-installed xp sp2 on my C drive. I have saved all my other information and data on other partitioned drives. When i go to access these programs, the memory location is off and they fail to load which causes the program to crash. How do i get the linkage back in place or do i have to re-install all my programs?
Thanks,
Chris

That is the problem sometimes with installing add on programs to another partition...when you reformat whatever they plugged into the system/system32 folders goes missing.

Here is what I've done in the past.
Keep your saved stuff on the other partition for now. Reinstall the programs to your new OS, this will replace the dll files or whatever it is that is missing to make the programs work.
Copy the contents from your saved stuff into the newly created folders and see if it works.

I've used this method to port over several programs from old OS installs to new ones.

Hope it helps you.
