you need a pc wireless dongle. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xbox-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows/dp/B000MGVAAQ
connect both and win7 will automatically install the drivers. if you dont have 7 you will need to download your own for your o.s. the disk that comes with does have xp drivers as standard but the vista 1s have to be downloaded from M.S.

Pretty much any place that sells pc and xbox stuff, got mine at best buy, will have a small receiver that plugs into a usb port and allows you to synch your controller to most any PC game.
