Which motherboard should I get? help thanks.

Hi, i got a tbird 1.4ghz, 384 ddr ram 2100, volcano II, and other i/o but I wanted help which motherboard should I get? One that can support ddr of course, and maybe raid but really good results, stablity, reliable, all that. Can anyone suggest me mother boards?? Thanks, Steve.

People have said that the upcoming Abit KG7 (in about two weeks) is going to kick major ass. It includes the very stable AMD 761 chipset along with not only 2 but 4 DDR slots! If you're patient enough, wait until it comes out, I know I would.

The best for compatablility right now is the A7A266, nobody has reported PCI configuration porblems with it, which is a first for AMD motherboards.

I would love to get the new Abit KG7 raid, but at $189, the price is a little steep for my wallet. I use the Fic AD11, which has the AMD 761 chipset and only costs $105 at GPS Computer Services. I can run my 1.2 at 1380 with the right heatsink. The only negative is that it doesn't have extra fan connectors. I found some adapters that let you connect extra fans directly to the power supply. You can find GPS using the Google search engine. Newegg also has excellent prices for motherboards.

Absolutely. It's supposed to be in stock sooner than that, accoording to certain companies on <A HREF="http://www.pricewatch.com" target="_new">PriceWatch</A>.
Review for the KG7 over at <A HREF="http://www.hardocp.com/reviews/mainboards/abit/kg7/" target="_new">HardOCP</A>. Only review that I know of.
