I wanted the best Graphics Card for my EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard.

My final two choices were between the ATI Radeon 64 MB VIVO DDR and the Visiontek GeForce 3 Graphics Cards.

I chose the ATI Radeon 64 MB DDR Graphics Card, and purchased it at www.newegg.com for $ 153.00 for the Retail Version which was only $ 3.00 more than the OEM Version.

I know that the GeForce 3 is the way of the future, but why pay almost $ 200 more for the Visiontek GeForce 3 Graphics Card, when the ATI Radeon is a much better deal for the espeically for the price.

All of the GeForce 3 Graphics Card currently are now currently between $ 350 and $ 425.

The GeForce 3 Graphic Cards prices will drop by the end of the year to the mid two hundred dollar price range.

seems like you only told us what you got
I paid $334 for a Visiontek geforce 3 and it kicks major booty.
I hate to tell you but I'm pretty sure geforce 2 GTS, and geforce 2 GTS pro mop up the place with that Radeon, not in VIVO capability (Well maybe with Asus V7700 deluxe) but in hard core 3d games its a sure winner.
From your post it seems like you really wanted a geforce3, you would have been better off getting an $80 geforce 2 MX and getting that geforce 3 at Christmas time when prices should be down.
