I currently am running a Pentium II 233 CPU on my LX6 Abit board. I would like to upgrade to a Celeron 700 using an ABIT Socket 370/FCPGA to Slot 1 Adapter or other slot adapter.
Questions:
Is this possible?
The latest BIOS version that I can find from Abit(lx6cly) appears to have been issued in June 1999, so I'm not sure it will support this upgrade.
Are there any other suggestions on how to accomplish a meaningful upgrade--specific processors, Slot 1 to 370 adapter boards? Would it be better to just get a new mobo/CPU combo?
