My EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard is working great, and I have had no problems at all running Windows ME.

I think EPOX manufacturers great Motherboards, and after using SuperMicro and then ASUS for the last few years, I think that EPOX makes superior Motherboards.

My Computer System Consists of the following components.

EPOX 8K7A+ Motherboard.
AMD Athlon 1.4 GHZ CPU.
PC Power & Cooling Mid-Tower Computer Case.
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 425 Watt ATX Power Supply.

Cooler Master EP5-6I11-A1 Heatsink And CPU Fan.
256 Megabytes DDR PC-2100 RAM.
Western Digital 80 Gigabyte ATA 100 IDE DIsk Drive.
Western Digital 26 Gigabyte ATA 66 IDE Disk Drive.
Iomega External SCSI ZIP 100 Drive
Plextor UltraPlex SCSI CD-ROM Drive.
Plextor Plexwriter 16/10/40A CDRW Drive.

I used to have the A7M266 and now I have the Epox 8K7A+. The A7M266 was a VERY nice board but it wouldn't overclock for me, with my Epox I've gotten to 1595 MHz (145 FSB x 11) and its very nice. And the onboard raid controller is pretty nice because I have support for more IDE devices.
But if I were to build a computer that I wasn't going to overclock, and I was only going to have one hard drive and one CD rom drive (maybe 2 of each) then I'd go with the Asus.
But for overclocking this Epox board is very nice.

Hey, this looks like an epox 8k7a owners convention. I have just finished setting this baby up. Didn't have any experience with ASUS but this board is good enough for me. My 1.2 axia 9 stepping went 1333 without a hitch (Retail, closed bridges and I'm running it on the stock fan). My system hanged when I tried 140*10 (temp about 49 under load). Is this because of my HSF?
I think http://www.hardocp.com put a nice review on it. That and reviews on http://www.newegg.com totally threw me the epox way.
