Does anyone know any word processing device that I can buy for under $100. I cannot even come near to affording a laptop. I just need something extremely simple with a word processor which I can save and later transfer to my computer at home. My parents travel a lot (I am 16) and sometimes I have to go with them. I type up a lot things on the computer for my school work. So this is why I need something very simple that will fit within my budget. I am also open to items that are over $100 just to get an idea, but I can only afford something that is around that price. Thank you in advance.

Try looking for an old second-hand laptop with something like a pentium 133mmx or something like that. If you look hard enough, especially at auction site, you can get one for under or around $100.

The advise Stickey e mouse gave you is right.
I was at a computer show today and they had used pentium systems around $200-300 and you can do a hell of alot more with that than a simple word processing system.
Go to www.marketpro.com for a show near you.
good luck.

I highly recommend this most reliable device that I have had for years.... I call it a pen.

Guess what pdizazzo! Can a pen help me in turning in typed up work for school? I have to type up numerous essays and other assignments on the computer. The question that might arise is why not write it down? The reason is it would be much easier to type up the information. When revisions are necessary, a word processor would faciliatate in this process. Instead of writing the drafts over and over again, I would be able to make the essential corrections then print out a copy thus saving valuable time for other aspects of my life.
