AV7133 and SB Live

Hey Everyone, I was planning on buying an ASUS A7V133
motherboard soon. I have an SB Live value that I want to
put in it. I have read some issues using the ASUS A7V133
(or rather any board with the 686B southbridge) with
a sound blaster card. Is this true?? Has anyone had
any issues with this??? Thanks in advance!

More about av7133 live
  1. My friend has no problems with an A7V and SB LIVE! value

but i'm not sure about the A7V133
  2. I also own an ASUS A7V133 and an SB Live! card (not sure it's a retail) and the only problem I had was a IRQ conflict with the onboard RAID controller.
But when I placed the card into a other PCI slot the problem was solved and I could start my computer normal (otherwise Windows gave a error message) and use the card.
  3. I plan on using the onboard raid controller? I can use both right??? (the raid and the SB Live) I just have to be
careful which PCI slots I use right?
  4. I´ve had major trouble with my ABIT KT7A & SB Live! Player 5.1, but none with Kt7A & SB PCI 128 Vibra.

Just don't put it in PCI slot #2 which is sharing IRQ with RAID controller.

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
  6. Yes you can!

I have 3 cd-rom drives attached to my RAID controller (in ATA 100 mode) and my Soundblaster Live! is in the first PCI slot. It works fine.
