Am I going to be running Battlefield 3 maxed out with these specs?

I have:

Core i7 2600K at 4.4GHz
GTX 570 1.28GB
8GB RAM at 1600Mhz
1080p monitor

Am I going to run this game and other upcoming games at 30+fps with max settings, max AAA at 1920*1080 and max everything??

Thanks!

Solution
your right...it's all predictions....anything 6870's CF or 560's SLI should do VERY good...but I hope single card solutions give it a good run as well

Oh and you motivated me to just go ahead and buy that power supply I needed for the 580's 5 minutes ago

From what I've seen, that can possible run BF3 well. I was told be an Alpha tester that the game is well optimized. He also informed me that with my specs (or at least former specs), Radeon HD 6970 and X4 945 3.0GHz, should max out the game with well above 30 FPS.

@tjosborne A lot of people have that issue as well. I've seen people with GTX 580 SLI playing Crysis 2 with the new patch and they can't even get up to 60 FPS most of the time (50 on AVG).

Lol that's too much money... at least $400 extra cash for me. Nah man, I'll just stay with my specs, I'm sure they'll give me what I want!

i played the alpha and maxed it out no problem. but it was missing the all dx11 elements like broken depth of field HBAO and other nice touches. maxed out @x4fsaa i was getting 35-60fps. so when they add in the extra stuff like tessellation i have a feeling that my card will crumple so your 570 will likely fold 2.

Here's what Nvidia got for Crysis 2 on OPS using GTX 570, Core i7 920 at 2.9GHz and 2GB RAM... look under 1080p and you'll notice only that the V-sync is off and the Motion blur is High instead of Ultra.

In my case, I think I'll be able to max it out with fine frame rates... just that 1.5-2 years later I'll start playing games without maximized settings.

Your desired answer is you will not max the game completely but will be very playable and look good.....

P.S. I have the money for a PSU....i just dont need the cards right now..so I dont need the PSU either....I got the cards just to get them for whenever and when it comes ill get the PSU

i agree you will have to scale back shadows,AA,and AF but it will still look ok. im thinking even a 590gtx wont be able to get a steady 60fps with everything maxed at a 1920x1200 res. just look at the gamescom footage released today. its caspian border multiplayer gameplay, looks photorealistic. look it up on youtube

Anyway, I might upgrade to a Kepler next year and sell this 570. But I'll see and compare prices.

@Jeremy1183 "will be very playable and look good" - I think you should say look great or almost perfect...

And you guys are just predicting, cuz no one knows exactly how Battlefield 3 would be.

That's good... but you're wasting your money. If I were you, I'd wait until Kepler and buy the "GTX 680" ... But in your case, you bought the 580's already - so you should now sell your 560's and try to sell that power supply too.

I'm a high school student so it's hard for me to get an ultimate gaming PC or two video cards in SLI/CrossFireX with a high-end power supply. Currently, I have the Corsair HX750 PSU and I'm not planning on buying another video card since I would have to throw it away or sell it at a cheap price and buy a very 'expensive' one. So I'm planning on buying a Kepler if its price is the same as a GTX 570 right now + the extra money for a 1000W PSU = $400 - but obviously the performance should be higher than a GTX 570 SLI.

Get it? I'm saving money!

I'll get those too......

Get it? Money is not an issue!

Seriously though....I have a friend that wants to get one of the 560's from me and the other I'll put in another build for my wifes desktop

Even when money's not an issue, i don't want to have more than what I want. I'll save that money and in years, I'll buy a nicer car.

Let me ask you a question, if you're a 16-year-old and you don't have a job, would you pay more than $1500 for a gaming pc along with gaming keyboard and mouse... and a 1080p monitor... or would you pay more?
