Is this rig gonna' play BF3 on high settings?

So I just upgraded my rig and are just wondering if I can run BF3, maybe not on the highest settings, but pretty high?

Intel® Core i5-2500K Processor
ASUS P8P67-M PRO B3, Socket-1155 Mainboard
Corsair TX V2 650W PSU
4gb DDR3 RAM
Ati Radeon HD 5850 1GB Graphics
Vista 64-Bit

It'll do pretty well, but I don't think you should wish for too much with the Vista 64bit OS and 1GB graphics (from a mid-range GPU). Remember BF3 will be DX11 only, so you're going to need a pretty potent GPU to keep up with tessellation en texture processing in a game that promises to be awesome.

Best thing you can do is change from vista to windows 7 64 bit to free up some GPU power be better in the long term

thats bs. no way it would be dx11 only. it would make absolutely no sense to develop a game like that. anyways consoles do not support dx11 either

I don;t think BF3 is only going to be a DX11 game.

@OP, you're system would be good enough to play the game at high resolution and maxed detail. Did you try the alpha version of the game ?

Apologies, I lied. It will support DX10 as well, but it's engine (Frostbite 2.0) is primarily developed for DX11. It will however NOT support DX9, and that's a given (it's what made BF3 such a big thing from the start).

so why not mix the combo i've got, with Dual 6950's ?
Isn't that a better deal?

Im sorry, I dont see how it wont support DX9 yet consoles are DX9....
