For your information, my processor is an Intel Celeron 333MHz. What I learned of is that Pentium II processors have clips that allows you to secure the attachment on to the motherboard while Celerons do not have them. So what should I do to take off my Celeron? Please correct me if im wrong bout the Pentium II clips.
That's the only clip on mine, runs from a hole in the mobo over the cartridge, between the fans and back into the mobo. It's quite like a cable tie and it's the only clip on there (I've had the cpu out).
Yours probably have plastic bracket that you have to unclip where the 'U' on my chart. Then in some models you have to push holders marked as '[' and ']' to the sides, on others you can unclip them by inserting scruedriver or pencil between the holders '[' and the CPU card 'p'.
Then pull the CPU upwards (somtimes requires force).

As Felix Unger once said, never assume because you make an A$$ out of U and ME. I never even thought of Celeron, and the differences between the two. 40 lashes with a wet noodle for me. Sorry about that.
It's always the one thing you never suspected.
