Let me put it to you this way-even the BX chipset can support Coppermine processors, but only when the Motherboard supports the lower voltages and BIOS supports the microcode. The BX chipset was introduced MANY years ago but is still used today on some motherboards.
Even the LX can support the Celeron2 and it goes all the way back to the Pentium days. But, only on motherboards that can support the lower voltage with BIOS that supports the microcode.
So it's not the Chipset at all, but the motherboard. Tell us what kind of motherboard you have and one of us can find some information on it for you.
