No Game/USB ports after upgrade!

I just installed a Athlon 1.2G chip to replace my Athlon 700 in my Soltek 75KV MoBo,and now my Game Port and USB ports won't work.
Windows 98 locks up on driver install, and on reboot, it has put the drivers in the ASD (auto skip driver) sin bin. With the USB, its only the drivers of any device I try to install that go ASD,the actuall USB driver loads ok, but it's the actual game port driver it's self with the game port problem that goes ASD.

Someone at an other forum says this is a common problem with faster CPU's. Just seeing if I can find out more info here.
Thanks

Sounds like an IRQ conflict. What else did you change? Did you make any changes in BIOS? Try setting BIOS to PNP OS-NO.
