Extra Wicked Adware - please help

I've got an espcially sinister bit of adware on my computer - Ceres. It pops up ads on my desktop every 4 or 5 minutes, and I just can't seem to root out where it's coming from. I run Spybot S&D, but it can't stop this stuff, and I pore through my task manager and searched all the files on my hd, and can't stop it. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Boot into safemode and then run your spyware cleaners / virus scans. Also try d/lin MS AntiSpyware.

the new version of adaware comes with plugins for the registry etc so it can root out a lot of evil
