MSI K7 Master vs Epox 8K7A

Which would you recommend and why, the EPoX 8K7A AMD761 SOCKETA or the MSI K7 MASTER SOCKETA ATX AMD761?

Stay away far away from MSI. I just bought 1 of their $140 paper weights all i get is lockups and fatal exceptions. Tried everything but with no results. The k7t266 pro is now a expensive paper weight. Check MSI's forum and see the problems people are having and all the wonderful help you get from MSI.

Well, Tom recommended this board in his power box. Does anybody else have an experiance with the K7 master and AMD 761 chipset?

99% of the K7-Master problems have been solved except the 100/133 FSB Bug which has a work around. MSI is looking into this glicth which should be resolved with the next BIO's upgrade. You can read more about the bug at www.msihardware.com /forums /K7-master. I've read about some problems with the EPOX but didn't pay much attention to them. I have a K7-Master and I couldn't be happier.

I have a Epox 8k7a+ running a 1.4 t-bird and 512 ddr, one of the best boards i have ever bought, its stable under win2k and win98 and the raid works exellent with win2k.
