Hey everyone! So, the recommended specs of Battlefield 3 are out! So, here are the recommended specs and my specs:

ultra settings requirements:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2ghz (if I remember it right) My: AMD Athlon II X4 2.8ghz
GPU: Radeon HD 5850 My: XFX 6870 (faster)
RAM: 4gb My: 4gb ddr3 samsung memory :)P)

So, my video card can handle the highest settings but my CPU can't.. I'll be able to run battlefield 3 with the most settings on ultra, but which ones should I decrease?
Also, I'm considering upgrading my system in the future, a little help would make me happy face and I'd very much appreciate it!
So here are some more of my specs: http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01991243&lang=en&cc=us&contentType=SupportFAQ&prodSeriesId=4079858&prodTypeId=12454

Motherboard: Not changed
Case: Replaced with a DF-35, which means I've got space for ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX.
That should be all you need to know. Also, I prefer keeping it cheap and fast. Like a phenom II x4 955 or something, those are rather cheap.

Thanks you!
/Theo

According to Tom's GPU hierarchy chart your card is just about the same as a 5850.

If BF3 is really made for the PC, you may not be able to max it out and still get 60 FPS @ 1080p.(you did not mention was rez you will play it.) But I am betting you will definitely get 40+ fps with most setting on high or better, you might just need to tone down the AA setting.

As far as your CPU, you can always overclock it to get some extra horse power. You will just need a better fan/heatsink than the stock AMD fan.
