Hi guys, I realize this isn't the place to post and I apologize for that, I'm having trouble with my steam support forums account and am unable to post there. A friend of mine purchased a retail copy of deus ex human revolution (augmented edition =D) he doesn't have a decent enough PC to run it so we planned on installing it on my PC, only problem is steam, it registered fine to his account and such but when he tried to install from the disc it'd give the error "steam servers are too busy to handle your request..." now I thought this was normal seeing as how the game was just released. He then tried it on his laptop and it started downloading, tried it on a net book that also started downloading it. I've tried re-installing my steam client, multiple user accounts and so far the only way to get it to work is windows xp mode which doesn't support dx11. Please if anyone here has had this issue or knows of a solution it'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I have discovered that if you reinstall the steam software from steam's website, and have entered the registration key, your game will be listed in your games library. You can install it from there after logging into steam. When reinstalling the steam client, you may lose your already installed games and will have to download them again. This fixed my installation issue with deus ex human revolution. I was able to install and play the game.
