That score is a joke you can get better with a tnt2 ultra update your bios, drivers, windows update, and see if that helps. Go into your bios and make sure your running 4x agp.

I had the same setup and the same problem. I fixed it by going to www.ali.com.tw, and getting the latest integrated driver for the chipset. I believe it is v. 1.7 Your chipset is a Magik 1 I believe. I hope that this helps.

Ouch! Did you load the AGP drivers?

You should be getting close to 4000 for 3Dmark2001 (default 1024x768x32) and close to 8000-9000 for 3DMark2000 (default 1024x768x16) without any tweaks.

I think this is a link to the drivers you need but I am not sure because I could not find an A7A only an A7A266. If this is what you have then the integrated drivers are probably what you want. You may want the AGP utility as well.

Your scores are not that bad. The high scores you see others posting are for significantly overclocked video cards. You should, however, be doing about 20% better, even with the stock video card speeds. Try optomising BIOS settings, set the memory to Cas2 and the AGP bus to 4x, etc. When you get to arround 4000, your perfect, then it's time to start overclocking that card!

Video killed my Radio Card!

Crashman above is correct I have pretty musch the same setup and I'm getting over 4000, 4077 is my best 3dmark 2k1 score. Which seems to be pretty darn good, also make sure aliasing is not set to 2x or 4x that really slowed me down.

If it ain't broke don't fix it

I have the A7M266 with a VisionTek GEForce2Ultra. I use 12.90 drivers from Nvidia which allow the coolbits hack to enable the clock frequencies tab. I have my card running at 275/500 which really increased the score and I OC my motherboard from 133 to 145 FSB which added another 5%. My 3dMark2001 score is 4723. Even though you are running a slightly slower Athlon, get the coolbits hack and enable that clock frequency tab so you can go to town. Don't have the coolbits link, but do a search using the work coolbits and you will find it. NOTE: coolbits will not work with any Certified drivers, like 12.41. ALso, be sure you enable the box which says "Apply these settings at startup" or it resets the speed at each boot to normal speed. GET THAT SCORE UP!

Can't we all just overclock?
