Resident evil game problem

Hello,
i am using acer laptop with windows 7 64 bit.once up on time i played res5 game in my laptop nicely without any problem,after long time i format for some critical position in my laptop.and install a same game in same laptop,when i click a launcher.exe in res 5 game it says E_FAIL:XLiveintialize(&xii).please help me,my windows is up to date.what can i do???????

Try reinstall the xlive again and update it

Did you say you were able to run the game at first and then when you formatted your laptop and installed the game after that, this problem arises ?
As venjhammet suggested, reinstall and update xlive.

What are your PC specs ?
