Dear Friends,
I am about to build a new computer based on AMD Athlon 1.2 Ghz. I don't know which mobo shoul I get since I want to use PC2100 DDR memory.
I know about ASUS A7M2666 but it has only 4 pci and 1 PCI/AMR.
Is there any other mobo that I should get ?
By the way, what is an AMR slot ?
Thanks,
Yan

AMR stands for Audio Modem Riser which is basically an OEM solution for inexpensive modem boards. You will most likly never use the AMR on a custom built PC.

i have to disagree, since i have a ga-7dxr myself. the dxr board put the other boards that are ddr compatible in the dust and has onboard raid to boot. i have no problems with it and my system is extremely quick, reliant, stable, and efficient. plus onboard audio from creative labs, so-so. for right now, few boards can match what the giga-byte ga-7dxr has to offer.

Tom did a real nice review today. Abit and Gigabyte were basically neck and neck as #1 and #2. Personally I am putting together a system on the 1.2 as well, I am going to wait a couple of months to see what nforce turns out like, If not, after to many hours of research, I would have to pick the abit.
