Hi all,

I installed adobe 5.5 and when i go to run it..it states i need 256 colors at least to run this program.

So i go to control settings and display settings to change the colors but my only choice is 16 colors, this has to be wrong.

So i read the book that came with my monitor and it states "unlimited colors" but i can't change anything!

My system is a AMD 1.2 ,nvidia gts2 ultra 64 ddr,dvd rom and cd-rw 12x plus dual hard drives 40 gigs each in raid stripe mode.

My monitor is "Micron 910Ex color monitor" it came with the system i bought from Micronpc.com.

Please any help, this is driving me crazy:(

Thanks to all and Happy Mother's day to all the Moms out there and to the Dads who have to be Mom and Dad also:)

This isn't a problem with the monitor.

Sounds like Windows is running the default VGA drivers for the graphics card.

In 'display properties > settings' there should be a message which says...

Display:
(monitor name) monitor on (graphics card)

If it states VGA graphics or similar then you need to install the correct drivers for your card.

H mmer,

I know my card is nvidia gts2 ultra 64 but how do i access it thru my pc?

In order for me to installed the nvidia drivers(3dx) i must uninstall the previous drivers.

I can't uninstall it because i can't find them.

I did a search for and put in every possible word for the graphics card/drivers and no good.
How do i know which is the video card/drivers?

Drivers come up in my search but i don't know which is which.

Please any advice.

Right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop. Select Properties. Click on the Device Manager tab. Look for your graphics card under Display Adapters. Display it's properties. From there you can view/update your driver.

If your machine is using the default VGA drivers, you do not need to uninstall anything.

Just run the driver setup from the graphics card's driver CD (or downloaded executable, whichever you have).
