Hello guys,

I have been getting fps issues ever since i got the new ATI sapphire HD6870 toxic gpu.
I have updated the drivers, downgraded the drivers, Ran memtest,Checked Temps. the only thing i could notice was if i had a fps spike my cpu spiked a bit not crazy but to like 26-30%, im guessing that is normal.
Oh yes when i got the card it ran fine for a few days until i updated the drivers, while i was uninstalling the older drivers i got a blue screen and ever since then im getting fps issues, i have re-installed windows twice now still no change.

I get like a fps drop in League of legends on full setting from 60-31 fps.
And in all the other games i play the same thing happens.

My pc specs just incase...

Asus Crosshair IV formula
Amd x6 1090t balck edition (running at 3.7ghz and temp never goes above 37 c.)
Corsair dominator 2000 mhz ram 8 gig 4x 2 gigs
Ati sapphire HD 6870 1024mb toxic
Huntkey 750watt psu
1 tb Seagate hd

I remember reading somewhere around here that most people have problems running the newest ATI drivers, the 11.8 version (artifacts, stuttering and so on). So maybe you should try to download an earlier version and see if that helps?

Roll back to your previous drivers.
Technically, you did not face a single problem with the old drivers right ?

There might be a hardware issue here, namely, your video card might have gone bad at some point?

gray screens with light or dark gray horizontal lines were a symtom of bad drivers when i first got my 5870. but orange screen i heard was associated with a vrm going bad. use gpu-z and check the temps of the vrm module it may be your gpu has a bad cooler fitted.

Ok so just a quick question, can the VRM cause any FPS issues ?
