That's right folks! SiS is gunning for 50% of the DDR Ram based motherboard marketshare. They say that they have shipped a half million 735 chips since introduction in June and it is ramping well. (100k in June, 3-400k in July). With the price point of the chip and the OOB performance, I'm not surprised that they are selling well.

The article was posted on ocworkbench if you want to read it for yourself. AMDZone also lists it on the front page news for today.

I suspect we'll see SiS735 based motherboards showing up in retail tier 1 PC's soon.
