9500GT on SC2?

I'm wondering if my current computer will be able to run SC2 on lowest settings with decent fps, since best buy conned me into buying it.

Specs:
i3-530 @2.93 Ghz
6 GB DDR3
Galaxy GeForce 1 GB DDR3 9500GT

I am planning on upgrading in a few months, but I'd like to be able to play SC2 before then, even on low

It would probably work, on low settings and lower resolutions. But read some other posts, there are people who encounter problems with SC2 on more powerful cards, so choose wisely, friend.

Starcraft 2 is more CPU intensive than GPU, you will be fine at low settings, maybe even medium.

Running 1280x 1024 with a athlon II x3 @ 3.2 ghz a 9500gt 1gb ddrs ( passive cooled) and 2gb of 948hz ddr2 im able to run on high settings no lag and ultra setting with a little lag in large battles,

i upgraded to hd 4670 (IceQ) and can play maxed out on 1280x1024 no lag ever.

With your ddr3 version of 9500gt and all that RAM (overkill) you should be able to max out starcraft.

Your proc might bottle neck your 9500 gt though because of the only 2 cores.




I gave my cousin my old 9500gt and he was able to play high settings (1280x1024) with a AMD athlon 64 @ i think 2.3 or 2 ghz with 1gb ddr RAM So you should be able to max it out fine


If your going to play at 1280x1024 you will be fine on max settings.

i'm able to play fine on low/medium settings on my ridiculously low resolution(1024x768)
