someone please help me !!!!
someone wise and smart would be better to answer my question not some gaming fan boy which is stubborn
i am looking to buy a gaming PC and i was going custom.
now i built an intel core i5 2500K and HD 6950 1 GB configuration.
it's around 750 euros :(
now i have built a Phenom II X4 955 and HD 6870 1 GB configuration.
that is around 550 euros.

so what i need help is with should i spend that much money for gaming with intel core i5 2500k build or should i save money and go with Phenom II X4 955 build ?

i know some of you will be asking that to help me better, i should put more info about games that i will play.
So the games that i will play are

GTA San Andreas, GTA IV, NFS Most Wanted, COD MW 2, COD MW, TES IV Oblivion, Counter Strike Source, Counter Strike 1.6, WoW, Warcraftt III, Gothic 3, Max Payne 2, Neverwinter Nights 2, Dark Messiah, Dirt 2, Dirt 1, Overlord 2, Dragon Age Origins, Baldur's Gate 2, The Witcher 2, The Witcher, Thief Deadly Shadows, Skyrim when it comes out

all of those games i will be playing at 1920x1080 resolution
all textures and visuals at Very High

and ALL i want is to those games at least have 60 FPS because the gameplay is mostly smooth at that much FPS.

and again which one should i then go with ?
save money or have better PC ?
once again it would be very very appreciating if someone wise and smart would answer my question :)

thank you

The less costly setup is more than good enough to play the games you mentioned, except maybe GTA IV which is very poorly coded, but it will still run at a more than playable pace.

Also, you should consider the amount of DDRAM in order to play all of those games.

I thinkn they would alll play with the cheaper one, but if the 200 Euros aren't a big issue I would go with the intel build (especially at that res).

It's quite a bit more powerful.

Some of those Gothic 3 ultra tweaks need a pretty powerful PC, and who knows exactly how Skyrim will run.

You might have trouble getting BG2 to run altogether if you're in Win7. It was a crashfest for me.

Go for the Phenom II 955, but get at least 8 GB RAM and it will run all those games without a problem.
I should know, because I have allmost the same built with one little difference ;)
