I just got my new sytem today. Epox 8K7A, 1.2 T-bird with globalwin FOP-32 fan, radeon le, Crucial DDR 256, Enight case
I triple checked all jumpers and dip switches before powering up (atleast I think I got em all right). When I 1st hit the power swich every thing started running but my monitor wouldnt come on. The Post postman function LEDs showed 2 Fs. I then said the the crap so I held my reset switch for 4 seconds and it powered down. Since then It will not power up. I followed this Trouble shooting to guide to a T and nothing has changed. http://www.sysopt.com/articles/troubleshoot/index.html I tested the power supply as it said and it test good. I even removed every sigle thing and started over. I can not get it to power up. I maybe missing something simple. This is my 2nd pc that I have built so i'm still a "noob".
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I will sit tight and wait for any suggestions. Oh, I might add there is no power switch on the back of the power supply.
Thanks, Jody
You probably missed something. Video card and ram seated properly? Power supply at least 250 watts? Power supply set at 115 volts? Sometimes, the video card will not line up well with the open slots on the case, and pop out. You can also try holding down the insert key when powering up, and if you get one beep, set the bios to the default settings and see if it will post. You must be patient and eliminate all possible causes until your system posts.
I have a 300 watt power supply amd approved. I have reseated every single thing more than 3 times. The Ide cables are not backwards.Besides, I have unplugged all cables leaving just memory, cpu, video card, and power supply. It like its not getting any power. When I hit the power switch the fan spins a "hair" and nothing. No leds, no fans, no noise.
Again I have shorted the power terminals to emliminate the possibility of a bad switch.
Thanks for any help
I just tryed another known working power supply and still nothing.

I have tryed every single thing I can possibly think of. Reseated all components approx 6 to 8 times. Pulled MOBO out of case and still nothing. Power supply is set for 115v. All jumpers are correct, there arent many anyways. C-mos jumper is set to normal, not clear. I dont get any lights, nothing.
