I have an asus a7v133 and a Hercules Geforce 2 gts 64 mb card and when I try to play any game it will load the menu but once it tries to actually load the game it locks up. The video card has its own irq at 11 and was in my old machine and worked fine but in my new system (see specs below) nothing but problems. I have loaded the via 4 in 1 drivers 428. Any ideas would be great!

Athlon 1.4

The 4.28 4in1 drivers should be avoided, better get the 4.32. I don't know if there's a better way than overwriting the old ones (if you don't want to format). Maybe someone could tell you more about this. It would also be very helpful to know the OS on which you are running your games.

My system looks a lot like yours and it's rock stable (when it's not overclocked  ) under Win2k (yeah, even with a VIA chipset  )

A good site to look at is http://www.geforcefaq.com. It has a lot of information on many of the issues that people have with geforce cards, and what can be done to try and fix them.

I've got the new via 4.32 drivers and they don't seem to help at all. Think I might try another video card. Not sure what else the problem could be. Any other ideas anyone?

I swapped out my Geforce 2 Gts with my Geforce 2 Mx 400 and it works great now. Not sure what's wrong with my video card but extremely happy to get my computer fixed. Thanks for the help!
