NVIDIA nForce delayed two months
by: Steven H Liu
Despite NVIDIA's denial, mainboards based on the nForce chipset may be as late as two months, a Taiwanese motherboard manufacturer has told Mike Magee's Inquirer.
Developers are having problems in many areas of the chipset, but particularly in the sound portion of the MCP. The delay will certainly be longer than "weeks," adds the source.
With Pentium 4 and RDRAM prce dropping, and ATI offering a less expensive chip with far more advanced integrated graphics, the delay could prove costly for NVIDIA.
