Does anyone that has an ASUS A7M 266 Mobo, know how to check ALL the mobo driver versions such as the via north and south bridges? I want to know so that I can get the most current versions. I also saw a post that said if you have no problems with the pc ( which I dont ) not to worry about upgrading drivers.
Why upgrade and what benefits do you get?
I have an ASUS CD that has the drivers that came on them and this is what I have installed currently
via 3 in 1 Ver: 4.24
miniport Ver: 4.80
Bios is 1003

I asked the same question on another forum and I asked Asus. The answer was that there is presently no way to find out your version of the VIA 4-in-1 drivers. Device manager does not report them, but does report a date. In my case, the date corresponded with the 4.24 driver issuance. I have never updated the drivers or fooled around with it. Everything runs stable and my 3Dmark2001 scores are very good, so I leave well enough alone. I did flash to 1004 bios, but did not really notice any improvement, so again, if it works, DONT FIX IT. :)

Can't we all just overclock?
