How to Enable Voice Chat In Game

Hey all, Pretty newbie problem im having. I cant figure out how to enable voice chat in pc games I have left 4 dead 2, crysis 2, and a few other games that require communication. I mostly use steam as gaming client but i do have a few disc copies that dont use steam. Please any tips or info on how to enable voice chat would be awesome!! BTW I use a turtlebeach dpx21 headset connected through a optical cable if that helps

For the steam games, go into the steam settings. There is an option to turn on voice chat and if you want it set to "push-to-talk" or "auto". I think there is also a test button to make sure it's working ok.

For non steam games, chat settings should be in the game settings somewhere.
