Using XP Pro, previously used run commands occasionally disappear from the
window requiring me to use my own brain's memory to remember what these
commands were, e.g., eventvwr.msc, etc. Any help much appreciated!

Thanks,
AB

Yes - this will happen. If you use start-run enough, you will lose some
commands as you replace them with others. It's a limited number it
remembers, pretty sure no more than 26.

Choices? A text file with the commands you like to use. When you use one
you know is not in that list but plan on using it again in the future, add
it to the text file.

Archaic? Yeah.
Follow you around, can be backed up, more reliable than your memory?
Obviously. *grin*
