It's great to hear that you are allowing all THG members to have a custom personal page man. But how will you lay the names out so we get to their webpage?
I should get a pic of myself soon enough though, I can get one anytime with my webcame but it's just the quality and the setting of the day and myself that ruins it all.

Why there's a "chord" sound when I right-click the pictures? Please REMOVE the heart-blocking "chord" sound.

You don't want us to copy the pictures? Well, why there's the "print screen" key? If we want to copy a picture, we can use this key and remove other things from the picture using any picture editing program.

Is there a special way female computer geeks look like?

My CPU runs so hot the arctic silver undergoes nuclear fusion  .

Reply to svol

LOL
Well...I wandered in to the forums the first time when I was looking for good illustrated instructions on how to put a pc together. THG has a really good guide...so I used that.

Then, I was attaching my HS fan to the CPU and I thought I messed it up. I got worried and posted for the first time in the CPU section...asking for advice. I got it...and everything worked out okay.

I posted my thanks...and THEN, Eden said "Stay away from "The Other""...so I wandered down here...and got hooked.

And why do I stay? Well...I'd think that would be obvious!

Seriously, though, there really isn't a stereotypical computer nerd anymore. Ok, i take that back. I helped host a lan party for my friend's brother (basically a bunch of 15 year old guys) and they ALL were the stereotypical computer nerd. You should have seen Chris (my friend) try to start conversations with all of them in the kitchen (he's extremely athletic and is even better at talking to wom...er...his woman)....lol... "You guys like sports? *silence* How about school, what subjects... *crickets* Tv other than star trek?". Ok, i'm being mean, he he. I think it's cuz recently i watched Triumph the Insult Comic Dog (from Conan) insulting Star Wars Episode 2 geeks. He he, if u haven't seen it, fire up kazaa...

But with the prevelance of computers these days, if u know computers well, u're not a geek so much anymore...u're becomming average :) Or at least that's what i keep telling myself....maybe that's bad. I kind of like being paid too much for doing easy things with computers :)

and speaking of funny...
<A HREF="http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail10.html" target="_new">It's funny too</A>

Reply to wolverinero79

See, i'm not (i think). I'm 6'3", about 185-190 lbs (depends on how much i eat :)) and i have about 8-10% body fat. Maybe i'm skinny, but i'm not a weakling as well. But i know what u mean. U get the guys who are my height and 130 lbs or those other guys... u know which ones...

They are either tall or short, but all weigh 300+ lbs. They wear solid color t-shirts or something to do with computers or science fiction. They wear ugly shorts which always ride up and sandels (usually with socks). And of course, they have glasses and some facial hair (usually brown hair...i dunno why).

I'm just your average habitual smiler =D

Reply to wolverinero79

I don't exactly fit that description either. I may not have a big build, but I am quite strong, or atleast I consider myself strong. And there is no way your sterotypical computer geek would go tree planting for two summers in a row :P

Ya, no kidding. I've helped with Habitat for Humanity and i always shovel bark nuggets and redo landscaping for my family :) Laying sod isn't easy work. But then again, maybe it is and i really am weak *sniffs* :)

Unfortunatly, and no offense meant, but most computer chicks are seen as having weight, often less attractive and listening to underground soundtracks like video games.

I know because I've seen too many now.
Lou seems like the 1 in 1 million, but I haven't seen her though many say she is a beaut.

V8's are ok. but i dont have one.
My old old car has only got a 161 cubic inch straight 6.
Massibly underpowered for the weight of the car, but it has excellent torque characteristics, getting decent torque down as low as 1700-1800 rpm, with max torque at only 2000-2100 rpm, so it can climb quite steep hills at 45mph in top gear doing exactly 2000rpm.
Its also easy on the go-juice too, getting a respectable 12.5L/100Km for city driving, down to 10 for country.

LOL. Its a whole combination of factors.
Of course some old cars are piles of shite.

But mine is 32 years old, been in the family all that time. I partially learnt to drive on it, drove it on my L's P's and ever since. Its a part of the family and its a part of me.

Sure its got a bit of rust, but nothing major. And it IS reliable. Sturdy as a brick poo-shed. Pretty fuel efficient.
In all of the 8-9 years ive driven it its broken down twice, and for the past 2 years ive been doing around 300+ miles per week. Just last week it quietely ticked over 227,500 miles.
Maintenance is uber easy too. I have marginal at best mechanical skills, yet i can change the oil and coolant easy as pie. Mechanic can do the rest very cheaply. The engine is the epitomy of simplicity. When something goes wrong (rarely) i know exactly what it is.

And it just drives nicely. Nice and roomy inside. No buzzboxes or engines that go 'ping'. I was offered my mothers old 1985 ford telstar with 4cylinder 2L engine and i refused.

Thats some of the reasons why i still drive my car.

P.S. my car doesnt smell much either.

Rice cars are typically, though not exclusivly imported asian cars that have been extensively modified... everything made to LOOK as if it would go fast, except they fail to upgrade the most important thing, the engine.

Tragic cars driven by tragic people. Its a disease that spans many cultures, though it seems to infect men alot more than women.

LoL At all this talk!!! ahhaha

Ricers......the cars r not made OF rice....but by people who EAT rice +) (not meant as a racist comment..just humour) =)

Honda's, Acura's (Still Honda) Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan, Mazda....etc etc etc.....

They put huge Fart cans for mufflers...or even dual or quad exhaust outlets on in-line 4 cylinder motors...LoL

Personally...I drive a 1984 Camaro Z28 with a nice Carbeurated V8.... =) Gas is actually not to bad.....Im all about pure Torque...and having over 300+ Ft. Lb's at 3000 RPM's is awesome.....considering i dont have the original 305 5.0 Liter V8 from '84 that had 240 STOCK ft. lb's @ 2400 Rpm's.....nice 350 5.7...mmmm
