Can my laptop run Battlefield 3 or should i get the ps3 version?

i atleast want to run this game at medium settings....

I think it will mostly run at that resolution, but you will certainly need to tone down the details a little bit, probably. You will also have to check how fast your laptop will become hot when under stress, because that might give some choppy gameplay when running at high temps.

I wouldalso go down the Ps3 version route instead of gaming on a laptop - despite all the claims manufacturers make laptop's are not best suitd to gaming. They have to make compromises due to the size of the casing - this in turn has a ngeative effect on heat generated and in turn performance.

Pluse if BF3 turns out to be a turkey like BF2 then selling a blu-ray PS3 disc is easier than selling used PC games

1366x768 is above 720p and it should run it and the laptop will not overheat to a point where it will do harm. that cpu can take temps up to 100*c and people from desktop background dont normally understand that and still say that that is way to hot.

yea but ps3 version got only 24 players and pc got 64 players and i heard that console maps are smaller than pc maps console maps only scale upto 75% of what the pc users get i really would like to play the game on my laptop all i want to know is that will this laptop run the game better than the ps3 does..... plz reply

a lot of people lower the graphics to play online anyway for the highest frame rates possible.
you laptop will play bf3 hands down to doubt should be in anyones head to weather you can play bf3 on you laptop. medium settings should be playable too.

Honestly, the 330m is a fairly low end gpu, the game would probably play and look better on ps3 for you

Well i think i will go with the ps3 version i will wait for the beta and try it out on my laptop and see how it runs

it was a 550m at one point but now that the gpu is a 330m it might play low to medium

i just copy pasted the specs of my laptop i did not observe it had 550m insted of 330m my bad.
