Is your system using an Intel Prescott processor by any chance? If so,
the no-boot issue with XP SP2 requires a bios update to fix. You can
supposedly get your system running (slowly!) in the mean time by
turning off the L1 L2 cache in bios or some such thing. Do a Google in
this group on Prescott and SP2 for more info.
