Hey, guys.

I'm looking for a new laptop, and although I'm not normally into PC gaming, I want to get one that can run Mass Effect (the first one). I don't want to buy a 360 or a gaming computer just for one game.

How would an XPS 15 do? I customized it as follows:
- 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i5-2410M processor 2.30 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 2.90 GHz
- NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 525M 1GB graphics with Optimus
- 4 - 6GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 Memory

How about an HP dm4x? I customized it as such:
- 2nd generation Intel(R) Dual Core(TM) i5-2410M (2.3 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz
- 6GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
- 1GB Radeon(TM) HD 6470M DDR3 Graphics [HDMI, VGA]

Which one sounds better? I know that there are probably laptops that are better suited to gaming out there, but again, I'm not looking for one of those. I'm just looking for a regular laptop that happens to be able to run Mass Effect.

I believe either of the two will run the game. The HD 6470M will run current games with low details pretty fluently. The GT 525M would deliver a better performance though, but best resolution for that video card should be 1360x768. So I would choose the first system if I were you.

I should mention that I don't care too much about details. I'm willing to play the game on the lowest settings. As long as the frame rate is decent, I'll be happy.
