I intend to switch from Intel to AMD Athlon 1.4 - 266 CPU.
After reading all reviews, I come to one conclusion, that I need some advice which motherboard to order.
I think about Asus A7M266 and Abit KG7.
I'll be very gratefull for any good advice.

I wouldn't bother with the Asus A7M266. It's old and overpriced. The abit KG7 has a leg up on all the competition because it has 4 DIMM slots. The DFI AK76 looks like a good board with the standard features, and it's really cheap.

I would get the DFI if you want to save money and the Abit if you want the best.

These prices were taken from <A HREF="http://www.newegg.com" target="_new">http://www.newegg.com</A>
DFI AK76: $107 + free shipping
Abit KG7: $140 (this has 4 DIMMs, it is not the 'lite' version)
Abit KG7-RAID: $173
Asus A7M266: $156

It might be worth your while to take a look at The SiS 735 board from ECS. In most rewiews I've seen it performs on par the the AMD760's, but it only costs $65. I hesitate to endorse it because I don't know much about ECS.
