Ok,

I am building a P4 1.7GHz computer. I have an ASUS P4T mobo. The one thing I have never quite understood was how to set jumpers for CPU frequency and things like that.

From what I understand, it's half the FSB for some reason. Like one other system I made. It had a 200MHz FSB so I had to set the multiple of 100FSB. But with the P4 it's 400MHz FSB. But as I understand, it's quad pumped so it's really 100.

My question is, what do I set the CPU bus frequency and CPU core at? How do I know?

Thanks for any replies!

Motherboards these days are made jumperless for the most part. All your settings are going to be within the BIOS itself. With my Gigahertz system I just had to change a jumper for the 266FSB and that was it ...
